Groin

I think I pulled my groin. Or strained it. I hope I don’t have a hernia. I know this is too much information, but I can’t help it. It’s bothering me.

It started Saturday. My lower abdomen had been sore before. I’ve been working with a different workout routine for the last few months and it often left me with sore abs. Never anything like this, though. This isn’t necessarily more painful, just more pronounced. More persistent.

I’ve spent at least half of the day so far searching out diagnoses and treatments for the three ailments that I may or may not be suffering from; groin pull, groin strain or (fuck no) athletic hernia. So far, I have only been able to rule out a groin pull. It’s not much of a relief.

Considering that I first noticed a bit of a pain while I was playing pickup basketball and I was still able to jump and run and leap without a problem (to an extent) and then yesterday I kayaked and swam without too much discomfort, I don’t think that it’s all that muh to be worried about, in the end. But still, I worry and I don’t know why.

I’m probably making this all out to be much more than it actually is and I will be able to look back in a few weeks at my overreaction and laugh. But, I’ve never really had this tendancy before and it’s crushing presence is a bit disconcerning. I don’t like worrying about my physical well-being. It’s not something I’m used to.

If this is only the beginning, I’m most definately not going to age gracefully. I can guarantee you that.
